Hi, I'm Marcus. My work is inspired by personal experiences, the world around me and those moments in life that leave me scratching my head. With a focus on natural materials, I celebrate craftsmanship that exudes a timeless and honest aesthetic.
From my studio in Munich, I try to rethink the way objects are designed and built. And in the bigger picture: I'm aware of the responsibility and opportunity of design in an age of consumerism, mass production and social injustice. There is much to be done in the future to provide the world with products that are fair in all social and environmental contexts.
Things are changing at an enormous pace. And I see a lot of potential to change things quickly for the better. This and all the great ideas that are already out there are a great motivation for me and the source of my joy in creating.
